Healthcare: Every American Deserves Real Healthcare, Real Cures, and Real Food
Patients over profits. End the system that keeps people sick.
Healthcare costs have spiraled beyond reach. National health spending exceeds $4.5 trillion annually, yet families pay more out of pocket while wages stagnate. Premiums, deductibles, and prescription costs rise relentlessly year after year.
The Affordable Care Act promised affordability and access. Instead, it became a subsidy pipeline enriching insurance companies. Americans pay more for less as corporate profits soar.
Big Pharma's grip on Washington ensures the system rewards managing disease over curing it. Breakthrough therapies are delayed, blocked, or priced beyond reach. Americans remain dependent instead of healthy.
We fuel disease through our food. Ultra-processed products dominate shelves with high fructose corn syrup, seed oils, and chemical additives banned in Europe. Over 40 percent of American adults are obese, driving epidemics of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. This is systemic failure driven by corporate profit.
As Your Congressman, I will:
Reject Universal Healthcare and Protect Patient Choice
Universal healthcare sounds good until you examine who profits. Single-payer consolidates power in government, creating a monopoly that corporations lobby to control. It eliminates patient choice, extends wait times, and stifles innovation. Americans deserve the freedom to choose their insurance, their doctors, and their treatment options. I will not support any system that strips choice from patients. Healthcare should serve Americans, not corporations or bureaucrats.
Introduce the American Healthcare Freedom and Fair Pricing Act
This legislation establishes federal price transparency and enforces price ceilings on essential services, creating real competition. Americans can purchase private insurance plans at lower costs due to transparent pricing and competitive pressure, or choose enrollment in a government-subsidized plan at $75 per month covering doctor visits, emergency care, surgeries, and preventive services. The government subsidizes services directly, not insurance company profits. Insurance companies must compete on price and quality, driving down premiums and improving coverage for everyone.
Declare War on Disease and Reform the FDA
Eliminate approval delays for life-saving treatments. Expand Right to Try protections for terminally ill patients. Redirect federal funding to innovators developing cures, not institutions profiting from endless research cycles. Break pharmaceutical lobbyists' grip and restore accountability.
Pass the Clean Food Act: Align with European Food Standards
I will align U.S. food standards with Europe by banning harmful additives and chemicals proven to cause cancer, neurological damage, and disease.Europe bans ingredients that the U.S. still allows. Americans eat potassium bromate (banned in EU, linked to cancer), titanium dioxide (banned in EU as potentially carcinogenic), azodicarbonamide (banned in EU, creates cancer risk compounds), brominated vegetable oil in citrus drinks (banned in EU), artificial dyes like Red 40 and Yellow 5 (banned in EU, labeled as causing hyperactivity in children), BHA and BHT preservatives (banned in EU, linked to cancer), and recombinant bovine growth hormone rBST (banned in EU).
Europe requires additives to be proven safe before approval. America allows them until proven dangerous.Manufacturers self-certify safety with zero FDA oversight.
I will enforce ingredient transparency, require country-of-origin labeling, and crack down on ultra-processed foods. I will restrict SNAP food stamps to nutritious, whole foods only, no more junk food purchases with taxpayer money. End the system that subsidizes obesity and traps families in cycles of disease. Make healthy choices accessible and affordable for all Americans.
