Immigration: End The System Designed for Corporations, Not American Workers

Massachusetts ranks 3rd nationally in H-1B visa approvals per capita, behind only New Jersey and Virginia, and 4th nationally in overall foreign-worker hiring. The state also hosts over 82,306 international students, the 4th largest concentration nationally. These students represent 18 percent of Massachusetts's higher education enrollment, the highest proportion of any U.S. state. India and China account for roughly 58 percent of international students in Massachusetts.

H-1B workers suppress wages by up to 30 percent, directly undercutting Massachusetts graduates. Simultaneously, an estimated 388,000 illegal immigrants are employed in construction, professional services, food and hospitality, healthcare, and manufacturing.

American workers face a two-front squeeze: foreign visa workers replacing college graduates at the top, illegal labor pressuring working-class communities at the bottom. This system benefits corporations and universities. Massachusetts workers bear the cost.

As Your Congressman, I will:

  • End Illegal Immigration Labor Exploitation

    • I will introduce legislation requiring employers to pay illegal immigrants the same wages and benefits as American workers, plus a substantial tax to the government. This makes hiring Americans the economically rational choiceand removes the incentive to exploit undocumented workers.

  • Eliminate All Visa Programs that Replace American Workers

    • I will end H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, L-1, E-2, and all other work visa categories that allow corporations to replace American workers with cheaper foreign labor. These programs systematically displace American workers and suppress wages across industries. Foreign visa workers will not be permitted to work gig economy jobs like Uber, Lyft, or delivery services. If visa programs exist, workers must be employed in industrial and skilled manufacturing positions that directly improve America's GDP and cannot displace American workers in service, retail, or lower-wage sectors. American jobs for Americans first.

  • Minimize the Einstein Visa to Only the Absolute Best

    • I will drastically restrict the EB-1 Einstein visa category to only the absolute best, brightest, and top professionals from abroad who are genuinely needed to teach, train, innovate, and serve the American people's needs. This visa should be rare and selective, reserved for world-class talent we cannot produce domestically. No exceptions for corporations seeking cheap replacements.

  • Restrict Student Visas and International University Enrollment

    • I will end student visas. Foreign nationals should not have priority access to American universities. The business model of American universities should be American students, not international ones.

  • Rebuild Immigration to Serve American Interests

    • I will work toward reforming the entire immigration system to make it fair, orderly, and yield the best immigrants who will enhance the country without replacing the American worker.

  • Support Enforcement and Removal of Criminal Aliens

    • I will support federal law enforcement, ICE, and state police to identify, prosecute, and remove illegal immigrants convicted of rape, child molestation, assault, drunk driving, or wanted for crimes in their home countries. These criminals receive priority deportation—no delays, no appeals. I will push for federal funding to increase deportation capacity and work with district attorneys to ensure state convictions trigger immediate federal removal proceedings. Massachusetts taxpayers should not pay to incarcerate foreign nationals who committed crimes. They should be removed.

  • Secure the Border and Stop Trafficking and Drug Smuggling

    • I will work to fund southern border infrastructure barriers, surveillance technology, and personnel to materially reduce illegal crossing. I will push federal law enforcement to dismantle human trafficking networks that exploit vulnerable people, particularly women and children sold into forced labor or sex work. These criminal organizations profit from suffering and must be prosecuted at the federal level.

    • I will also prioritize stopping fentanyl and other illegal drug smuggling. Fentanyl is destroying Massachusetts communities—nearly 2,000 overdose deaths in our state in recent years. The cartels smuggling it are making billions. Federal law enforcement needs resources and coordination to stop this at the border and upstream. Border security is not a political issue. It is a public health and national security issue.
